LONI Visualization Tool (LONI_Viz)®
LONI Brain-Mapping & Brain-Tree Help
LONI_Viz and LONI_BrainTree_Viewer allow the user to map
back and forth between an atlas, a data set and a
brain-tree. The data set is, of course, required to
be pre-registered in atlas space, and the brain-tree
structure should be synchronized with the structures present in the atlas
volume. The later is assumed to be a deterministic anatomical atlas,
however, we will soon expand this to structural and functional
stochastic atlases.
The following three BrainMapping functions are provided
(see the figurative description of each below):
- 1. Map current cursor location (x,y,z)
from the visualized atlas/data ---> onto the BrainTree
pathway, and identify the anatomical label of the
region the voxel (x,y,z) is part of;
- 2. Map a user-specifiable ROI-name ---> onto
the BrainTree structure, as well as, show the first
voxel (x,y,z) part of the named ROI region;
- 3. Map a preselected ROI from the BrainTree --->
onto the user's data set or the atlas.
