LONI Visualization Tool (LONI_Viz)®
General Description
The Laboratory of Neuro Imaging's 3-D viewer, LONI_Viz,
is a versatile tool for volumetric data display and
manipulation. LONI_Viz is a completely portable Java-based
software, which only requires a Java interpreter and
a 64 MB of RAM memory to run on any computer architecture.
It allows the user to interactively
overlay and browse through several data volumes, zoom in
and out in the axial, sagittal and coronal views, and
reports the intensities and the stereo-tactic voxel and world
coordinates of the data.
It also allows the expert users to delineate structures
of interest, e.g., sulcal curves, on the 3 cardinal projections
of the data. These curves
then may be used to reconstruct
surfaces
representing the topological boundaries of cortical and sub-cortical
regions of interest.
- LONI computer environment set-up requirements. Please put the following
two lines in your ~/.cshrc file
- # LONI VIZ
set path=($path /usr/lshare/java/LONI_Vis/)
- # JAVA settings
setenv CLASSPATH .:/usr/lshare/java/LONI_Vis/
- Then Type on the command line
LONI_Viz_driver
- Outside LONI computer environments (require properly installed Java 1.2+,
Java 3D and correctly set PATH/CLASSPATH environmental variables)
- (Windows) Click
LONI_Viz_driver winwods batch executable
to start the entire LONI_Viz package
- (Windows) Click
LONI_Viz_VR_driver winwods batch executable
to start only the 3D VolumeRenderer and look at IMG
raw data files in 3D
- (Other Environments) Click/Start from the JAR file
java -jar LONI_Viz.jar [file]
